Government Cheque Phase Out in 2016
The federal government intends to phase out government cheques by April 2016 and encourages business to sign up for direct deposit by way of Form RC366 Direct Deposit Request for Businesses. We are one step closer to a cashless economy.
Eligible refunds include:
- corporate instalment overpayment;
- hiring credit for small business;
- GST/HST refund or rebate;
- Canada Pension Plan and Employment Insurance overpayment.
Canada Revenue Agency will accept signed and completed RC366 by fax to 604-585-5769.
Individual taxpayers may start, update or stop direct deposit information by using CRA's My Account service or Canada Direct Deposit Enrolment Form.
